Have mercy…The U.S. Paintball Championships are on ESPN2 right now.

What’s up with that? Seriously.

Just when I think ESPN cannot be any more blind, they go and air yet another “sport” instead of swimming. I almost feel like they go out of their way to find alternative sports and events to air just to spite the sport of swimming. 8 straight hours of Paint Ball coverage is excessive. Especially when swimming’s men’s and women’s NCAA Championships got a pathetic 90 minute slot each. This is seriously getting out of hand.

We’ve been told some great things about our tailgate. It makes us feel like all the work we’ve put in is worth it. We really were trying to add some more excitement to the not only the meet, but also the sport in general. So it makes us feel good that so many people were impressed!

With all the spectators in town for softball (right across the parking lot) it was also nice to show them that people were just as excited about swimming as they were about softball.

Yup, you read that correctly! We are planning an afternoon of tailgating festivities set to take place during the Eric Namesnik Memorial Grand Prix this weekend. If we have a general idea of who’s going to come through we can better plan how much food, drinks, etc. we need to have ready. By the way, this is a rain or shine event, so it will not be cancelled! Besides, you never know who might stop by!
